There are 202 children attending and enrolments are increasing. The school caters for children whose parents wish for them to have an Irish Medium Education from the Killarney area and we also have children attending from nine other villages/ parishes other that Killarney town as we are the only Irish Medium school in the area .The catchments area of the school is approx 20KM.
The children have varied economic backrounds and some children also qualify for resource teaching which is given at Gaelscoil Faithleann.
The school has been involved in three previous Comenius Projects and has very good experience in Comenius.
Killarney National Park is the life blood of Killarney town and has a profound effect on our school. We use the Park on a regular basis for Environmental education, many of our parents and Board of Management are working in The Park or in services with a direct link to the Park. It has been a hope of The Principal to work on a National Park Project for many years.
